An infrared sensing curtain for elevator door-opening protection, using 17 emitter/receiver pairs with up to 96 detection beams.

The transmitter and receiver are installed on opposite sides of the doorway. An interrupted beam provides an obstacle-detection signal for the elevator door-control system.
